The Rice Museum Georgetown's museum of Art & History. Exhibits include dioramas of the rice culture, The Browns Ferry Vessel(a 1730's river vessel) and a film "The Garden of Gold" telling the story of the rice culture in Georgetown County. Georgetown County Cultural Council and the Arts Exchange Gallery Community arts center and gallery dedicated to the promotion of the Arts, Culture and History of Georgetown. Annual Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival This annual event is held every September in the Atalaya castle that rests on Huntington State Park Beach. Featuring more than 100 of the finest artisans, the Atalaya Arts & Crafts Festival provides aesthetic beauty against a background of natural beauty. Enjoy fine art, quality crafts and Lowcountry food, along with the musical offerings of several of the area’s finest musicians. |

Swamp Fox Players The Swamp Fox Players, Inc., a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization has become an integral part of the cultural life of Georgetown County over the past thirty-four years. Managed by a volunteer Board of Directors and Production Board representing the entire service area with all production personnel and artists contributing their time and talents in support of live community theater, the Swamp Fox Players is truly a unique representation of community involvement. Strand Theatre Home of the Swamp Fox Players located in the heart of Historic Georgetown SC. Murrells Inlet Theatre The Murrells Inlet Community Theatre is a nonprofit organization founded in April of 1998. MICT produces a minimum of three plays each season, beginning with a fall production. A General Membership Meeting is held each May. |

Pawleys Island Festival of Music & Art The Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to create and enhance cultural awareness and enrich the quality of life for residents and visitors by providing quality performances, programs, and educational opportunities in music and the arts. Litchfield Dance Arts Academy The purpose of Litchfield Dance Arts Academy is to offer top quality professional training in an environment of enrichment and discovery. Mastery of dance skills develops self-confidence, poise, strength and self-control. Whether taking classes for their own enjoyment or planning for a future career, LDAA students gain the knowledge and physical discipline required. |

Parks
Brookgreen Gardens In 1931, Archer and Anna Hyatt Huntington founded Brookgreen Gardens, a non-profit 501(c)(3) garden museum, to preserve the native flora and fauna and display objects of art within that natural setting. Today, Brookgreen Gardens is a National Historic Landmark with the most significant collection of figurative sculpture in an outdoor setting by American artists in the world and has the only zoo accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums on the coast of the Carolinas. Huntington Beach State Park This 2,500 acre park is considered one of the finest bird-watching domains on the East coast. Hikers can venture through a nature trail that extends into the forest and winds along marshy boardwalks. The beach is gorgeous and welcomes beach goers from all over. Hampton Plantation State Park The original mansion built in 1735 remains. This 274 acre plantation was purchased from the Rutledge Family in 1971 and turned into a state park. There are picnic and bathroom facilities as well as trails to walk through the old gardens with incredible camellias, azaleas, & live oaks. Santee Reserve Half a day's walk through a delightful mix of freshwater and saltwater coastal systems. The 24,000-acre Santee Coastal Reserve, located on the south side of the huge Santee River Delta, offers maritime forest, great expanses of rice field wetlands, and paths bordering the Intracoastal Waterway and the South Santee River. |

Harborwalk Festival The Annual Harborwalk Festival is celebrated in Historic Georgetown SC. Events range from harbor boat tours, to a bass fishing tournament and is topped off by a street dance until midnight with live music. Pawleys Pavilion Reunion Relive the memories of Pawleys Pavilion in South Carolina! Dance under the stars to beach music from the best of the beach bands ever on Pawleys Island...where it was! Huge dance floor, shuttle service, and local food vendors. Annual Tour of Plantations & Colonial Town Houses For over 50 years, the Annual Tour of Plantations and colonial town homes in and near Georgetown has been a springtime event. The majority of the plantations and homes are privately owned and graciously lent to the Women of Prince George Winyah Parish once a year. A different group of homes is on tour each day. Wooden Boat Show One of the nation's premier wooden boat exhibits, a wooden boatbuilding competition, children's model boatbuilding, boat raffles, maritime arts & crafts, food and music. It takes place on the waterfront and along Front Street in Historic Downtown Georgetown. Kaminski House Museum The Kaminski House Museum contains an outstanding collection of American and English antiques from the 18th and 19th centuries. |
