Surf Lessons, and Private Surf Lessons all year long by Certified Surf
Instructors. The Surf The Earth Summer Surf Camp program is an
excellent way to build confidence in kids of all ages. Our CPR
Certified Camp instructors focus on building inner confidence, teaching
the primary surfing fundamentals, discussing water safety, sun
protection, and educating on the environmental importance of our mother
ocean. The Pawleys Island area Beaches typically provide calm forgiving
surf conditions, which make for a safe learning environment for the
beginner to intermediate surfer. Kids walk away with new friends,

Brookgreen Gardens - Cool Summer EveningsWednesdays through Fridays - June 16 through August 13 Cool Summer
Evenings 5 - 9 p.m. Come for dinner and stay for the show when
Brookgreen offers live entertainment and evening cruises down the
creeks in the cool of the summer evenings. Entertainment is included in
garden admission. Creek cruises are $7 in addition to garden admission.

28th Annual July 4th Boat Parade at 1:00 pm Fireworks Spectacular at 10:00 pm
There’s nothing more patriotic than seeing a line of decorated boats on
the creek for the Murrells Inlet Fourth of July parade. The year’s
theme is "2010: Freedom is In". Boat decoration contest entry forms
will be available at Garden City Realty, Dunes Realty, Crazy Sister
Marina or Booty’s. Entry costs $5. You only need to enter if you want
to be judged in the decoration contest. Anyone is welcome to join in
the parade at no charge. Spectators can line the Marshwalk area for the
best view of the parade. Come early for a great viewing spot and stick
around to have dinner at any of the fine Inlet restaurants after the
parade. Boat Parade begins at 1:00 pm at Garden City Point area,
arriving around MarshWalk area around 1:45-2:00 pm. Call 843-357-2007

For the first time ever, fireworks this year will have a new staging
area..off the end of Veterans' Pier! Thousands of people line the

Paddle North InletJoin Reserve and Surf the Earth staff for a naturalist-guided tour
through the creeks of North Inlet. This program includes instruction in
basic kayaking, a natural history overview, and educational highlights
of the North Inlet ecosystem. Fee includes kayak, paddle, personal
floatation device, and water. Bring snack, camera, binoculars, and wear
sturdy shoes. Times for all trips are 8:30 am-12:30 pm; weather
permitting. Cost: $50/person; limited to 6; please call to register.

Beach Discovery WalkJoin Reserve staff for a guided Discovery Walk. Learn about shells,
sand dunes, geology, tides, and beach inhabitants of a barrier island.
Participants will sift the wet sand to find creatures that Live
underfoot and pull a seine net to see what lives in the surf. All
children must be accompanied by an adult.

This trip is designed for those looking to expand their yoga experience

Beach Night Life
Learn about the amazing journey of the loggerhead sea turtles nesting
along South Carolina’s coast, and discover the creatures most active at
night and those which make life in the ocean unique. The program will
begin with a presentation about the natural history of sea turtles,
